After Allauddin Khilji he hand over the ruins of Chittor to Maldeo Songara the king of Jalore . By which he succeded in capturing many Rajput clans , but he was not liking the rise of Rana Hammir . When all tactics failed Madeo Rao came up with a strange plan , he used his own daughter Songari also known as the princess of Songara as his plan by arranging her marriage with Rana Hammir . Songari was married at the age of child and became child widow at that time . In those days for a Rajput it would be very insulting for the entire community to marry a widow . After hearing her story Hammir not only accepted her wholeheartedly , but also gave her a chance to avenge her insult . She suggested Jaldhar , Maldeo's advisor who treated Songari as her own daughter , for dowry . In a short while without shedding a drop of blood , Hammir regained Chittor and spoiled Maldeo's plan . When Hammir refused suzeiranty of Sultan of Delhi , Muhammad bin Tighluq the conflicts began . Maldeo ran from the jail of Chittor to the Sultan and forced him to attack Hammir kingdom .

The Rajput bardic chroniclers such as Nainsi (17th century) claim that Muhammad bin Tughluq marched with its army toward's Hammir , he made an army at the Singoli village . According to Muhnot Nainsi , Hammir Singh defeated Tughluq near the Singoli village , and imprisoned the Sultan . He then released the Sultan three months later , after the Sultanate ceded to him Ajmer , Ranthambor , Nagaur and Sooespur ; and paid 5 million silver coins and 100 elephants as a ransom to leave him .
